Why I Created Happy Student
Struggling with homework?
Missing classes?
Not knowing where or how to start? I get it—because I’ve been there.
When I transitioned from high school to college, my experience was, well, rough. I’d always been a strong student in the classes I loved, but that wasn’t enough to keep me afloat in the rest. My executive functioning skills just weren’t there, and it didn’t take long for things to spiral.
Despite excelling academically in certain areas, I struggled with basic time management, study habits, and prioritization. The result? I landed on academic probation, with my scholarships hanging by a thread.
I spent countless late nights trying to cram for exams, catching up on assignments, and battling distractions that felt impossible to control.
Sleep? Rare.
Focus? Even rarer.
And while I could hyperfocus on subjects I adored, the rest fell by the wayside.
Eventually, I realized I needed help—strategies to manage my time, structure my schedule, and keep myself on track. That’s when the seed for HappyStudent.net was planted. My experience taught me that executive function skills aren’t just important—they’re essential for thriving in high school, college, and beyond.
Now, I’m passionate about helping other students avoid the same pitfalls, gain more confidence, and find their own paths to success.
